Glastonbury Lake Village Iron Age Dagger
A accurate reproduction of an Iron Age dagger from Glastonbury Lake Village. Forged from wrought iron and with hammer hardened edged, the blade has been worked entirely by hand and has been shaped and polished with files, sandstones and slate. The handle is made from a mix of rams horn and antler- materials that have been found across Britain shaped into knife and sword handles. The sheath decoration is taken from the metal fittings of a bucket from Glastonbury Lake Village.
